Learn about Charitable Health Coverage

A healthy future starts today

We believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality, affordable health care. Kaiser Permanente’s Charitable Health Coverage (CHC) program may be an option for you.

What is Charitable Health Coverage?

Kaiser Permanente’s CHC programs provide health care coverage to low income individuals and families who don’t have access to other public or private health coverage.

When you are a CHC member you receive:

  • Enrollment in a Kaiser Permanente Individuals and Families health plan
  • A Kaiser Permanente subsidy to help pay your monthly premiums and most out-of-pocket medical costs for most care at Kaiser Permanente facilities

Do you qualify for CHC?

To qualify for Kaiser Permanente’s CHC you must meet certain requirements. For instance, you must live in our service area, and have a certain income based on the Federal Poverty Level Guidelines.
