Learn about Your Child Health Program Benefits

When your child/children are accepted into the Child Health Program, they’re enrolled in the Kaiser Permanente Platinum – 90 HMO health plan for their health care. You also get financial help in the following two ways:

Help paying all of your monthly premiums

Kaiser Permanente will subsidize the full monthly premium, so you have no monthly payment.

Coverage for most services

You pay no out-of-pocket costs for most covered services that your child/children get at Kaiser Permanente facilities. If your child/children receive care somewhere other than Kaiser Permanente, in most cases you’ll have to pay the copays or out-of-pocket costs on your own.

Once your child/children become Kaiser Permanente members, you’ll be able to choose a pediatrician who will provide personal care specific to your child/children’s needs.

To make things easier, many of our locations have lab, X-ray, and pharmacy services all in one place. And if you can’t come in during the day, some facilities offer evening and weekend hours. Learn more about the facilities in your area here.
